Heath has been a coffee lover since college.  He began roasting his own coffee beans in an air popcorn popper in the garage as a hobby. 

After taking some of his coffee beans to family events and parties, he was asked to roast coffee for a few select individuals.  After a few months, more and more people were requesting our beans.  Finally the orders grew to the level that required us to acquire a business license - thus Java Roastin' was born.  

As our orders grew so did our need for new equipment.  Java Roastin' purchased the largest home roaster on the market, The Hot Top.  This allowed us to roast 1/2 lb. in 30 minutes.  However, as the business continued to grow, 1 lb per hour wasn't cutting it. 

In August 2006, Java Roastin' purchased its first gas heated industrial roaster (The Ambex YM - 5).  Since May 2005, the business has grown to a country wide level.  Java Roastin' has more than 50 customers in 10 different states throughout the US.  Our Christmas '06 season took us pleasantly by surprise and we are anticipating a Sensational 2007!
